DROPPING THE MACHINE TOOLS IN THE KLEIN BOTTLE

WEST COURTYARD

A sliding glass door leads south into the house.  You 
see some people inside the living room.  If you were 
to look through the sliding glass door you would be 
able to see what's going on in there.   

To the north and the west you see the walls of the 
courtyard, which are made of reddish colored rock.  
Against the north wall is a cast-iron loveseat.   

Model railroad track cuts a curved path along the 
moss covered ground towards the bench and then rises 
onto a shelf that runs east along the north wall.   

The ground is hard and rocky here, with a thin layer 
of moss.   

The center of the west wall appears to be missing.  
You see a swirling mist there.   

The courtyard continues to the east.

EAST COURTYARD

You see a copper key and a glass of lemonade here.

As your gloved hands get near the copper key, a small 
exchange of sparks travels between the gloves and the 
copper key.   A connection between you and the copper 
key has been made!  You take the copper key and find 
that its being in your possession causes it to 
decrease its substance and visibility.   However, you 
sense that the copper key has not undergone a 
complete transformation;  It still is bound to the 
surroundings on this side of the mist.

As your gloved hands get near the glass of lemonade, 
a small exchange of sparks travels between the gloves 
and the glass of lemonade.   A connection between you 
and the glass of lemonade has been made!  You take 
the glass of lemonade and find that its being in your 
possession causes it to decrease its substance and 
visibility.   However, you sense that the glass of 
lemonade has not undergone a complete transformation;  
It still is bound to the surroundings on this side of 
the mist.

The shiny padlock pops open.

As your gloved hands get near the shiny padlock, a 
small exchange of sparks travels between the gloves 
and the shiny padlock.   A connection between you and 
the shiny padlock has been made!  You take the shiny 
padlock off of the shiny chain and find that its 
being in your possession causes it to decrease its 
substance and visibility.   However, you sense that 
the shiny padlock has not undergone a complete 
transformation;  It still is bound to the 
surroundings on this side of the mist.

As your gloved hands get near the shiny chain, a 
small exchange of sparks travels between the gloves 
and the shiny chain.   A connection between you and 
the shiny chain has been made!  You take the shiny 
chain off of the metal doors and find that its being 
in your possession causes it to decrease its 
substance and visibility.   However, you sense that 
the shiny chain has not undergone a complete 
transformation;  It still is bound to the 
surroundings on this side of the mist.

As your gloved hands get near the metal doors, a 
small exchange of sparks travels between the gloves 
and the metal doors.   A connection between you and 
the metal doors has been made!  The metal doors are 
now open.

You open the microwave box door.  The microwave box 
is empty.   

>put lemonade in microwave
Upon leaving your possession, the glass of lemonade 
increases its substance and visibility.  The glass of 
lemonade is now in the microwave box.

As your gloved hands get near the microwave box door, 
a small exchange of sparks travels between the gloves 
and the microwave box door.   A connection between 
you and the microwave box door has been made!  The 
microwave box door is now closed. 

>push start button
You push the start button and it pops back up.   

The microwave box begins to give off a mechanical 
hum, and you see a glowing light behind the red-
tinted lens on the box door.   

After a few seconds the box begins to shake 
violently.  When the box approaches a level of 
shaking that seems ready to break it apart from the 
rest of the machine, you hear a loud boom and you 
find yourself momentarily blinded.  You blink until 
you regain your vision, but it is still difficult to 
see because an intensely bright beam of light is 
eminating from the lens of the box.   

The beam of light shines west through the open metal 
doors, cutting across the courtyard to strike the 
center of the west wall.  The light beam seems to be 
interacting somehow with the red rock of the wall, 
causing the center of the wall to appear shimmery and 
insubstantial.   

The microwave box is no longer humming or shaking, 
but the beam of light is still here.

As your gloved hands get near the window, a small 
exchange of sparks travels between the gloves and the 
window.   A connection between you and the window has 
been made!  The window is now unlocked.

As you walk westwards into the grove of aspen trees, 
you find yourself becoming distracted.  You're not 
sure how far you have gone since you entered the 
grove, but apparently you've gone far enough so that 
you can no longer see the clearing.  

ASPEN GROVE

You see aspen trees all around you.  Tall yellow 
grass covers the ground.  You seem to have lost all 
sense of direction.   

You see fireflies here.

you keep following the fireflies, they will 
eventually lead you somewhere interesting.

STONE PATH (by the aspen grove)

Most of the fireflies seem to have gathered here.  
This must be one of their favorite spots.  Their 
lights illuminate a stone path, twinkling brightly as 
if to imitate the stars above.

You see a silver key and some brightly colored 
machine tools here.

between the gloves and the brightly colored machine 
tools.   A connection between you and the brightly 
colored machine tools has been made!  You take the 
brightly colored machine tools and find that their 
being in your possession causes they to decrease 
their substance and visibility.   However, you sense 
that the brightly colored machine tools have not 
undergone a complete transformation;  They still are 
bound to the surroundings on this side of the mist.

The red round door is now unlocked.

As your gloved hands get near the red round door, a 
small exchange of sparks travels between the gloves 
and the red round door.   A connection between you 
and the red round door has been made!  The red round 
door is now open.

SECRET GARDEN (near the north wall)

There is something very unusual about the east wall 
of the garden.  The center of the wall appears to be 
missing.  You see a swirling mist there.   

You are near the north wall of the secret garden 
where the stone path exits the garden.  There is a 
round red door here, which is currently open.   

To the south, you see the center of the garden and 
the gazebo.

Spiraling outward from the gazebo is a stone path.  
The ground surrounding the stone path is completely 
filled with flowers and lush greenery growing in rich 
dark soil.

You follow the stone path around until you are near 
the east wall.  

SECRET GARDEN (near the east wall)

There is something very unusual about the east wall 
of the garden.  The center of the wall appears to be 
missing.  You see a swirling mist there.

Pushing your way through the mist, you notice that 
you can't taste it.  You suspect that the taste of 
the mist isn't important right now, but the whole 
thing is quite troubling anyway.  What happened to 
your sense of taste?  Did it just disappear? 

Come to think of it, EVERYTHING seems to have 
disappeared except for the brightly colored machine 
tools.  You don't even have a body anymore.  You seem 
to be form without substance, and your form is 
twisted in on itself.
